HEALTH ALL ROUND
art for health
We present our new community art programme, designed to empower individuals through creative expression. This initiative invites residents of Gorgie, Dalry, Saughton, Stenhouse, and the surrounding areas to engage in various artistic activities, from painting to visiting art galleries. By promoting art, we aim to enhance well-being, foster social connections, and cultivate a sense of belonging within our community.
Creative activities can help us in many ways:
Expressing and managing emotions
Distracting us from stress and anxiety
Giving a sense of meaning and purpose
Giving a sense of achievement and self worth
Relaxing and enjoying the here and now
Improving our awareness of the world around us
Improving our awareness of natural beauty
Learning new skills
Discovering abilities and potential
Making friends
What we offer:
Book Club
If you love reading and talking about books this on-line book group is the one for you. Members of the group take it in turns to select a new book each month to read and discuss. There’s no cost because we provide the books too! It’s a great way to meet like minded people and make new friends– especially if you have difficulty getting out and about.
